The Peculiar Vocational Training and Economic Empowerment Program
Poverty remains one of the biggest barriers to transformation in Uganda. Many young people complete school without employable skills, while widows, single mothers, and vulnerable youth often lack opportunities to earn a living. Without stable income, families remain trapped in cycles of poverty, dependency, and hopelessness.
The Peculiar Vocational Training and Economic Empowerment Program, run by The Peculiar Love Foundation, was created to break this cycle by equipping vulnerable groups with practical skills, entrepreneurial knowledge, and start-up support. Our vision is to see communities transformed by individuals who are not only able to provide for themselves but also create opportunities for others.
We believe that true empowerment is giving people the tools to stand on their own feet — and through this program, we turn dependence into dignity, and hopelessness into productivity.

Impact
The program has already seen widows and youth transformed into business owners who are now providing for their families and contributing to their communities. A single mother who once depended on handouts can now feed her children through her tailoring business. A group of young men once idle and at risk of crime are now running successful carpentry projects.
The impact goes beyond economics — it restores self-worth, dignity, and hope. Participants not only gain income but also confidence to pursue their dreams, break free from dependency, and inspire others in their communities.
Partnerships & Volunteers
This initiative thrives through partnerships with technical schools, vocational instructors, and donors who provide equipment and training resources. Volunteers — especially professionals and business leaders — mentor participants, sharing both skills and wisdom for success.
Why It Matters
Charity provides temporary relief, but empowerment creates lasting change. By equipping vulnerable people with skills and resources, the Peculiar Vocational Training and Economic Empowerment Program is raising a generation of self-reliant, Christ-centered, and community-transforming individuals.
Through this program, we declare: “Poverty is not the end. With skills, faith, and opportunity, every person can rise.”

The Peculiar Widows and Orphans Support Program
Widows and orphans represent some of the most vulnerable groups. Cultural stigma, economic hardship, and lack of support systems leave widows isolated and struggling to provide for their families. Orphans, on the other hand, often grow up without parental love, guidance, or basic provision, making them highly vulnerable to poverty, abuse, and exploitation.

The Peculiar Family Support Program
Strong families are the foundation of healthy communities. Yet many families in Uganda struggle under the weight of poverty, abandonment, illness, or displacement. When families break down, children are left vulnerable to abuse, neglect, or dropping out of school.

The Peculiar Annual Christmas Package Delivery
Every December, as families around the world gather to celebrate Christmas, many vulnerable households in Uganda face the painful reality of lacking even the simplest meal or gift to mark the season. Widows, single mothers, orphans, the elderly, and entire communities often go through the holidays in silence and need.
