The Peculiar Education Sponsorship Program
The Peculiar Education Sponsorship Program
Education is one of the strongest weapons against poverty, yet thousands of children in Uganda are denied this opportunity simply because of financial hardship. Many orphans, vulnerable children, and those from struggling families are forced to drop out of school due to lack of fees, uniforms, and scholastic materials. For these children, dreams of becoming doctors, teachers, leaders, or entrepreneurs often fade away before they can even begin.
The Peculiar Education Sponsorship Program, an initiative of The Peculiar Love Foundation, was created to bridge this gap by giving every child an opportunity to learn, grow, and discover their God-given potential. Rooted in the belief that “every child is a gift and deserves a future,” the program provides both financial and emotional support to disadvantaged children, ensuring that education becomes a doorway to hope, not an unattainable privilege.
What We Do
Through the sponsorship program, we provide:
-
School Fees: Covering tuition costs from nursery through secondary, and in some cases, vocational or tertiary education.
Scholastic Materials: Books, pens, school bags, uniforms, and shoes to ensure every child attends school with dignity.
Meals Support: In schools where feeding is not provided, we assist children with lunch programs to improve focus and learning.
Mentorship & Discipleship: Beyond academics, children are nurtured spiritually and emotionally through mentorship, prayer, and counseling.
Monitoring & Accountability: Our team regularly visits schools and homes to track academic progress, ensure well-being, and provide extra encouragement.
Impact
Over the years, the Education Sponsorship Program has transformed the lives of many children who would otherwise be at risk of illiteracy, child labor, or early marriage. Sponsored children not only gain knowledge but also grow in confidence, responsibility, and hope for a brighter future. Many of them become role models in their communities, showing what is possible when love and opportunity meet.
For families, this program lifts a huge financial burden, allowing parents or guardians to focus on rebuilding their lives while their children stay in school. For the children, sponsorship is more than education — it is a message that says, “You matter. You are loved. You can succeed.”
Partnerships & Volunteers
The success of this program depends on the generosity of sponsors — individuals, churches, and organizations — who commit to support a child’s education journey. Some give monthly or annually, while others provide one-time donations for scholastic drives. Volunteers also contribute through mentorship sessions, tutoring, and school visitations.
Why It Matters
In Uganda, education is not free, and millions of children are trapped in a cycle of poverty without access to quality learning. By investing in a child’s education, we invest in a future leader, innovator, and world-changer. The Peculiar Education Sponsorship Program is therefore not just an outreach — it is a long-term vision to break poverty, build dignity, and raise a Christ-centered generation.

Widows and orphans represent some of the most vulnerable groups. Cultural stigma, economic hardship, and lack of support systems leave widows isolated and struggling to provide for their families. Orphans, on the other hand, often grow up without parental love, guidance, or basic provision, making them highly vulnerable to poverty, abuse, and exploitation.

The Peculiar Family Support Program
Strong families are the foundation of healthy communities. Yet many families in Uganda struggle under the weight of poverty, abandonment, illness, or displacement. When families break down, children are left vulnerable to abuse, neglect, or dropping out of school.

Every December, as families around the world gather to celebrate Christmas, many vulnerable households in Uganda face the painful reality of lacking even the simplest meal or gift to mark the season. Widows, single mothers, orphans, the elderly, and entire communities often go through the holidays in silence and need.
